The Places Unkown
March 2025
It’s dark inside The Places Unknown
There are sharp emerald rocks that melt into daggered snow
Legend has it that if you make your home out of its All-Knowing Sand
You’ll be reborn with feathers for hands
So I ventured under and tried to build myself a shelter, but I bent and suffered from the pressure alone
Until one morning, a deep fog heated my body, and I rose to the surface
And despite the ice that now slithered around my feet, my body began to beat as if it were the first time blood had rushed through me.
Then instinct took over, and I began to fly
I could hear every tree telling its story, like the one about Sun-beans, golden bark, and armoured leaves
So I asked them… Can I stay here forever? Live in the Sunrise and sing for the Plum Mountains?
But they told me that my future’s name is Unkept Promise
Thus, I’ll descend to find my soul inside the Places Unknown
