Let Them Be Forever

April 2025

What I wouldn’t give to
Meet your eyes for the first time

I’d look at you
As I do now
Hopeful that we’d always make it through

Cause as the years have feathered on
I’ve seen your every form

You were the light on top of the mountain
The fresh scent of the forest
And the exhilaration of every cityscape
And when life treated me poorly
You were the richest part of me

Every day you reoccurred and loved me most in the mundane

So, can we stay right here for just a little longer?
You see
We needn’t travel any further to be with one another
