Original commissioned oil painting — T. Cheung-Damonte
Commissions

Original artwork created
just for you.

Commissions are a collaboration between your vision and the artist's creative abilities and perspective. Something new, beautiful, and unique will emerge from this collaboration.

What T. Makes

Three ways to commission.

Oil Painting

A hand-painted oil work made entirely for you: portrait, landscape, architectural subject, or an abstract piece built around a feeling, a colour, an idea. T. brings the full depth of their classical training and experimental instinct to every commission.

Oil on canvas or linen. Scale and surface arranged at consultation.

Ink or Charcoal Drawing

An original drawing in ink or charcoal: a portrait, a figure, a place you keep returning to. Drawing is the most immediate of T.'s mediums, closest to the hand and the first impulse. T. gives a drawing the same attention as a painting, at a gentler scale.

Ink or charcoal on paper. Size and framing arranged at consultation.

Poetry

An original poem written for you and no one else. Bring T. the occasion, the person, or the feeling you cannot quite name, and T. returns it to you as a poem: one you can reach for the way you reach for a certain song, and read again when you need it.

A signed original. Length and form follow the brief.

The Process

How a commission comes to life.

The Conversation

Everything begins with words. You write to T.: what you want made, what you feel, what you cannot yet put into words. There are no wrong answers here. T. reads every brief carefully before responding.

The Alignment

T. replies. By video call, email, or in person if you're in Barcelona, together you find the image. T. may ask unexpected questions. The goal isn't a specification. It's a shared understanding of what this painting is trying to do. A 50% deposit confirms the commission and begins the process.

The Making

T. works. Sketches, underdrawing approvals, colour studies: you receive updates at the key moments. Your job is to stay curious and trust the process. T.'s job is to make something truer than a photograph. Typical timeline: 4–10 weeks depending on scale and complexity.

The Arrival

When the work is complete, T. sends final images for your approval. Minor adjustments can be made at this stage. On approval, the remaining 50% is invoiced. The painting is professionally packaged and shipped worldwide, with an original certificate of authenticity signed by T.
